Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to be based in Glenn Allen, Virginia.

This position is expected to begin in October 2021.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Creation of designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings for site design projects under the supervision of an experienced engineer

  • Preforming analysis of alternatives and verification of designs using computer software and other methods under the supervision of an experienced engineer

  • Perform fieldwork to document existing site conditions and constraints

  • Coordination with other design disciplines

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field

  • Demonstrated coursework in treatment design, hydraulic engineering and modeling, master planning, and other civil design-related courses

  • Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field

  • Engineer in Training Certification

  • Demonstrated coursework in treatment design, hydraulic engineering and modeling, master planning, and other civil design-related courses

  • Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient use of PC-based applications (MS Word, Excel, Access), as well as a motivated, hardworking team player with attention to detail

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and Revit

  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
