This Co-op position is to work as a team member in the Boston Bridge and Tunnel In-Service Inspection program. The position will involve both office and field-related tasks and is designed to develop a professional working knowledge of standard techniques and procedures under the direction of senior staff.

Responsibilities could include the following:

  • Development of field forms

  • Fieldwork involving hands-on inspection of bridges, tunnels, and/or parking structures throughout Massachusetts. Documenting field observations and findings

  • Assist with data entry, editing, and creation of drawings and table/charts

  • Report writing

  • Some night work

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Civil Engineering

  • Must have completed one year of study

  • Valid Driver's License is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD programs such as AUTOCAD is a plus

  • Experience with Excel is a plus

  • Having OSHA 10 hr. will be a plus
