SAIC is seeking a seasoned Administrative Assistant and Office Manager on the Horizon Program to support the U. S. Space Force (USSF) in their efforts to develop and deploy next-generation and advanced capability space systems. Under the Special Programs (SP) Directorate at the Space Systems Command (SSC) in El Segundo, the position provides administrative support to a Government Program Office. Ideal candidates will have a strong office management background, organizational skills and the ability to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short-term work suspense and rapidly evolving customer needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides general administrative, clerical, and/or secretarial support. Performs routine and non-routine tasks including coordinating office/program inspections, maintaining conference rooms appearance and functionality, and electronic file management. May be responsible for scheduling and arranging for meetings, for researching and securing requested information, and for researching, compiling and proofing of various reports and studies. May take and/or transcribe confidential or technical information, take and distribute meeting minutes, order supplies, answer phones, respond to customer inquiries, and other office administrative duties as required. Interacts with host facility support staff to gather, supply, or coordinate information.
Minimal supervision. Work may be done without established procedures.
Extensive knowledge in specialized office management and executive assistance functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other customer offices, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of importance to the function of the program office or which may be a sensitive nature.
