Project Manager

Position Description/Job Responsibilities:

  • The position will serve as a Project Manager (PjM) on the Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) HOPE contract
  • The selected candidate will provide project management and oversight to technical teams in support of rapid research, development and prototyping in support of urgent warfighter needs as directed by Air Force TENCAP
  • This position will support new and active projects through the design life cycle including:
  • Requirement development and verification
  • Hardware & software design
  • Development and testing
  • Project reviews
  • Deliverable support
  • Product reviews and approvals
  • The PjM job function will include:
  • Customer engagement and managing a team
  • Defining and maintaining project schedules, project planning, leading reviews, reviewing drawings, reviewing of requirements and verifications, conceptualizing methods of operations
  • Reviewing trade studies and assessing design, assessments of hardware and software options, stat using functions to both KBR management and the Government customer (Schriever Air Force Base, CO)
  • The position will require the ability to allocate tasking, status technical, budget, schedule and risks
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • This is a lead position and requires planning skills, organization skills, and critical thinking skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum five (5) years of Project Management and related experience
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Travel is project to be < 10%
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility required

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation:

Pay range: $85,000.00 – $125,000.00

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.

Fraud Alert
