Job Summary

This role involves working in an established team of dynamic geospatial professionals and incorporates exposure to advanced geospatial procedures and challenges across the variety of disciplines that AECOM operates in.

  • Support Digital Engineering integration with GIS for significant local and international infrastructure projects

  • A wide variety of spatial analysis disciplines and challenges

  • Production and auditable management of spatial data

  • Deploying fit-for-purpose field collection solutions

  • Providing technical support to GIS users and project team members

  • Production of print and digital content to appropriate standards

  • Accelerating our move to process automation and embracing Enterprise GIS

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years relevant experience in a similar GIS multidisciplinary project support role

  • Adaptable team member, happy to work autonomously in dynamic work environments

  • Excellent understanding of the ESRI suite of products

  • Experience using ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Portal

  • Experience publishing and managing data with ArcGIS Collector/Field Maps and Survey123

  • Technical knowledge of geographic concepts, including coordinate systems, data collection methods and use constraints

  • Knowledge of spatial data management, analysis, cartography and data visualisation

  • Knowledge of environmental, planning, and infrastructure concepts are highly regarded

  • Operational knowledge of data.wa, Dial Before You Dig, national and interstate data providers highly regarded

  • Experience in engineering industry or state government also highly regarded

  • Ability to provide innovative solutions to problems applying sound spatial analysis and data management practices

  • Strong technical ability, with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Scripting/programming knowledge highly regarded

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Spatial Science or a related discipline preferred. Demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills considered.
