Job Summary

AECOM has a position available for an Entry-Level Air Quality Technician I in Freeport, TX. This is a full-time position expected to start in September/October of 2021.

The responsibilities of this position include, but may not limited to, the following:

  • Performs routine fieldwork as a trainee (such as environmental sampling, assisting with calculations, and operations, maintenance and inspection of equipment of client site), working under close supervision.

  • Performs routine tasks in support of project staff and handles less complex duties.

  • Entry-level position; may not require previous experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma + none years of relevant field experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Ability to work outdoors with physical and technical demands

  • Must possess a valid US Driver’s license

  • Sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry or related is preferred

  • 2+ years of relevant field experience in environmental testing, sampling, and calculations is desired

  • Ability to record test data legibly, completely, and accurately

  • Aptitude for operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment

  • Ability to recognize hazards and work safely in an industrial setting

  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information:

  • This is a field position up to 100% of the time, some in-office work may be required.

  • Pre-employment drug screen required. May be required to pass client mandated random drug screenings.

  • Pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record background check required

  • May be asked to pass DOT Driver medical exam and be medically cleared to wear a respirator
