AECOM is seeking a Traffic noise analyst based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The candidate must be knowledgeable in traffic noise analysis, as it pertains to roadway planning projects, as well as the overall NEPA process for transportation projects. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of NCDOT and other states’ agencies traffic noise policies and procedures and TNM2.5/3.0 traffic noise modeling software. Candidate must have successfully completed TNM2.5 Training Certification. The successful candidate will need to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment with a chance to contribute to projects that will impact the North Carolina area and beyond.

leading and/or assisting in the development of traffic noise work plans, preliminary traffic noise reports and final design traffic noise reports; developing appropriate noise-related NEPA documentation
working on non-noise-related planning aspects of transportation projects
engaging in public involvement activities
collecting noise data in the field; developing traffic noise task order scopes of work
actively participating in multi-disciplined teams
communicating and coordinating with clients, government agency staff and state/local elected officials
engage in business development and opportunity discovery
managing, mentoring and developing staff in local (and potentially in regional) offices; any other tasks or efforts pertaining to traffic noise as needed.
BA/BS in Planning, Civil Engineering, or related fields
6 plus years of noise analysis and design for traffic and transportation
TNM2.5 Training Certification
Public engagement and client relationship experience
NEPA documentation experience related to noise analysis and design
