SAIC is currently looking for a Radar Signal Analyst to support Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate (S3I) located onsite Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville, Alabama.

Product Description:

The AN/TPY-2 Forward Based Mode (FBM) Radar model is a Radar planning tool written in Java and running on a RHEL Linux OS. This FBM Planner will be fielded to the Warfighter in CY 2021. Planner is a Linux-based application that facilitates visualization of Radar search plans and their effectiveness against missile threats through an intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI).


  • Analyzing strategic radar signal data and developing detailed presentations of results for technical briefing to leadership
  • Working on-site at S3I on a multi-contractor team and interacting regularly with industry partners and the government customer



Bachelors degree with two (2) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in leiu of degree. 

Required skills:

  • Proficiency with MATLAB or other analysis scripting language
  • Familiarity with compiled software languages such as C/C++, and interest in a broad array of radar topics
  • Familiarity with signal processing, probability and statistics, and basic software design principles
  • Understanding of radar signal and data processing
  • LINUX knowledge and experience
  • Ability to generate clear, concise, and intuitive presentation of results

Desired Qualifications:

  • PERL script knowledge and experience
  • Familiarity with X-band radars
  • Familiarity with the Missle Defence Agency (MDA) pre- and post-test analysis activities and procedures
  • Experience with root cause analysis of Strategic radar systems and interoperability

Required Clearance

Must have an Interim Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain and maintain full Secret clearance.
