Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in the Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Technical Project Officers in maintaining a portfolio of active financial assistance awards and national laboratory Annual Operating Plans.

  • Assist the federal budget lead with any information request and with the organization and tracking of budget actions.

  • Work with assigned Program Manager(s) to ensure program budget needs are met.

  • Work with Technology Managers to ensure budgetary actions for awards are accurate and made in a timely manner.

  • Apply the principles and practices of active project management to review budgets, quarterly reports, technical evaluations and invoices at a Program, sub-program, and project level for acquisitions and financial assistance of government award vehicles.

  • Plan, initiate, execute, monitor and closeout projects in compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Responsible for anticipating, identifying, and resolving problems that arise in assigned projects.

  • Prepare award document packages for issuance of financial agreements.

  • Review and recommend approval/rejection of awardee invoices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field; Masters desired.

  • Possess at least 5 years of professional financial analysis experience.

  • Possess at least 2 years direct relevant experience budget planning/tracking on major government R&D or acquisition programs spanning a broad portfolio of diverse projects.

  • Knowledge of DOE R&D programs a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong oral/written communication skills are required.

  • The candidate will be expected to effectively represent the program status to senior government officials – strong interpersonal skills a must.

  • An ability to quickly learn new financial tools/systems and perform in a complex, dynamic environment required.

  • Ability to work on site with the client in a customer service atmosphere.

Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants must be a US Citizen and Ability to obtain a DOE Public Trust (Must obtain Public Trust clearance prior to setting start date)

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/Talking and must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • ?Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Requires frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Communicating with others to exchange information.

  • Must be able to assess the quality of applications, reports and other data.

  • Working with computers.
