Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Web Developer to join our team in Portsmouth, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create easily navigable Web pages and basic scripts or code, evaluate code and repair errors, and builds or support Web?enabled database applications.

  • Create Internet applications that enhance user?developed content and meet business and technical requirements and deliver e?commerce and e?Government products and services to internal and external audiences.

  • Provide Internet services that optimize customer experiences and ensure Internet services comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other related requirements.

  • Responsible for data collection dealing directly with the end user/customer.

  • Collecting new requirements for development to meet customer’s needs.

  • Monitor and assist in carrying out server maintenance functions.

  • Assist, select and apply the most effective delivery formats.

  • Work with IT to ensure that Web?based content is accessible to all users.

  • Providing guidance in determining the most appropriate methods for delivering information via the Internet.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web design, or related discipline. Three (3) to four (4) years of experience as well as preferred certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in IT environment.

  • Expert knowledge of languages and practices needed to develop web pages and to convert user?developed content into workable Web pages.

  • Ability to support web related activities and develop web applications and web portals

  • Working proficiency of C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL or combination of all.

  • Working proficiency in Visual Studio; T?SQL and SQL Server 2008r2 or higher and Windows Server 2008r2 or higher

  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Interactive Media, Graphic Illustration, Motion Graphics, Web Design and Print Design HTML.

  • Experience with Microsoft.net 4.5 or higher; CSS; HTML; XML and VB

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite CS6

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher

  • Experience with IIS 7.5+; NET Framework; WinForms; and Access

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

  • A active and current Secret security clearance is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

  • Must be able to move about inside the office or IT environment to access computer systems, modules; equipment and IT machinery.

  • Must be able to constantly operate computers and other IT environment systems such as IT machinery, modules, etc.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • The person in this position must be able to detect, identify, observe, and assess written communications; presentations; and manuals.
