AECOM’s Building and Places Team is looking for an experienced designer/architect to provide technical expertise on allocated projects and support senior staff to undertake direct and regular client project manager contact. Effective communication skills are required for liaising with stakeholders through all front-end project phases, ensuring design briefing and project expectations are achieved, from the management to the delivery of major projects within the team.
The applicant will be working across business lines within AECOM and ideally would have mixed-use development and infrastructure architectural experience. The applicant would also need to be able to coordinate projects across a range of teams such as civil, structural and MEP.
Prior architecture experience: a diverse project base including public sector experience
Demonstrated experience working within the consulting environment
Previous experience working in a design office, and involvement in all aspects of the design process including construction management and detailing
Registered architect in NSW (desirable)
Strong portfolio of work which demonstrates creativity, innovation and excellent technical capabilities
Knowledge of contemporary design trends, techniques, materials and digital practice, and any relevant subscriptions or memberships
Expertise in Adobe Suite and MS Office, with a high level of skill in Revit and/or similar BIM software including BIM 360, Revizto and Navisworks
Demonstrates initiative in developing solutions to projects and a high level of customer service delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate project teams and liaise effectively with staff at all levels
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and contribute to own continuing professional development
