Job Summary

Our Dams team is expanding, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Melbourne office and contribute to the management and successful delivery of a range of medium to large scale dams projects.

This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary environment, with engineers, drafters and designers at varying levels of experience. You will be exposed to a range of projects and stakeholders, which will help to expand your Project Management skills and portfolio. You will coordinate technical resources to deliver projects to schedule and on budget whilst achieving high levels of client service and technical quality.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Project management of resources, budgets and timelines

  • Assisting with proposal preparation

  • Preparing for and participating in project reviews and executing resulting action items

  • Communicating regular updates, assisting with client reporting on project status and ensuring project delivery is in accordance with the Project Plan.

  • Effectively managing project personnel, variation processes and project management interfaces

  • Attending, contributing to and documenting project meetings with clients where required

  • Working with the Design Manager and Project Director to ensure successful delivery of projects.

Minimum Requirements

Ideally, you will have:

  • Relevant years professional project management experience

  • Experience in successfully leading project management components within a team environment

  • Strong verbal, written communication and numerical skills

  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills

  • The ability to develop and maintain project programs, change schedules, scoping documents, risk assessments, management plans, budgets and issues registers

  • Experience in proposal and bid development

  • Confident communications and an ability to engage successfully across broad and complex stakeholder groups

  • Skilled in both risk and quality management

  • Competent in the use of project delivery systems: such as Project Management tools, MS office suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering would be an advantage but are not a necessity.

  • Industry accredited Project Management courses would be looked on favourably.
