Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Field Security Officer to join our team on-site Chambersburg, PA.    

This position is in support of our DISA customer, located on Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA. The position is just one of several personnel on a team that is responsible for maintaining overall physical and operational security for DISA at their Chambersburg facilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Validate personnel security clearances via the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), formerly via the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)
  • Prepare and submit outgoing visit requests for DISA personnel who will be traveling (temporary duty travel [TDY]) off-site to other classified facilities
  • Conduct routine personnel security audits and submit reports to leadership
  • Respond to visit and security requests for inbound personnel
  • Maintain elements of personnel security records in DISA’s Corporate Management Information System (CMIS) portal
  • Draft, update, and deliver local security orientation and training for new personnel or for those who have just been adjudicated for a higher clearance level
  • Maintain physical security container combinations, such as X-09 or X-10 locks, and ensure the associated security forms (SF) are present and completed as required
  • Maintain key and lock control database, as well as issuing and retrieving security keys using the database
  • Complete relevant mandatory training, as required by the government leadership
  • Serve as a local registration authority (LRA) for user tokens (smartcards) for classified environments
  • Understand how to securely and properly open and close a SCIF environment, which may include access to JWICs or BICES environments
  • Assist with onboarding of new personnel by validating their security characteristics as a part of new user account requests
  • Draft or update local SOPs, rosters, and schedules as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in a Computer or Engineering field or technical training, or equivalent experience
  • Requires 6 years of relevant experience
  • Security Clearance:  Top Secret – SCI (interim Secret to start)

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • DOD TS SCI (Interim Secret to start)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • Must be willing to comply with DoD COVID protocols as they are defined and refined.
