Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Information Security Engineer to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.  

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Define IS and Network Environment security requirements in accordance with applicable cybersecurity requirements

  • Integrate and/or implement security with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) for use within an IS and Network Environment

  • Responsible for ensuring that enterprise information security standards are followed

  • Provide tactical information security advice and examines the ramifications of new technologies

  • Ensure that all new and enhanced information systems are functional and secure

  • Identify information protection needs for an IS and Network Environment

  • Develop and implement security designs for new or existing network system(s)

  • Develop and implement network security measures that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation

  • Develop interface specifications for the IS and Network Environment

  • Develop approaches to mitigate IS and Network Environment vulnerabilities and recommend changes to network or network system components as needed

  • Perform, or review, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, noncompliance with established Information assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies

  • Provide risk management, intrusion detection, contingency planning and incident handling

  • Support the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5 or more years of related experience

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification

  • Experience with SAFe Agile Scrum Software Development methodologies with a cross-functional team approach

  • 7 or more years of experience with the use and operation of security tools and applications
     

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 3 or more years of related experience  

  • Demonstrated experience in analysis simulation environment, configuring/troubleshooting software/hardware enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgrades in a dynamic information system hosting environment

  • One of the following certifications:  Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Information System Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), Information System Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) 

 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Top Secret w/SCI 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
