Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Network Specialist to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.  


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption 

  • Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments 

  • Perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation  

  • Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations and design, build, and implement network systems 

  • Perform system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications 

  • Aid oversight for information systems operations activities, including computer and telecommunications/communications operations, data control, LAN/MAN/WAN administration and operations support, operating systems programming, system security policy procedures, and/or web strategy and operations 

  • Provide input to policy level discussions regarding standards and technical constraints 

  • Plan and lead major technology assignments 

  • Assess network topologies to understand data flows through networks and provide mechanisms to tip countermeasures 

  • Provide reports detailing adversarial capabilities, exploits, Cyber activity, and vulnerabilities in addition to mitigation techniques and best practices in defeating threats 

  • Investigate and advise of innovative solutions to threat-monitoring challenges; validate implementation of enterprise-level networking and security solutions in addressing said challenges 

  • Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.  

  • Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments 

Required Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience 

  • Experience in engineering integration activities with all cloud services 

  • Experience with SAFe Agile Scrum Software Development methodologies with a cross-functional team approach 

  • Experience in network security applications, storage, and firewalls 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Technology  

  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 certification 

  • CCNP or CCNA certification 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 3 - 5 years of related experience  

  • Cisco Certifications:  CCIE desired 


Clearance Requirements: 

  • Top Secret w/SCI 


Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
