Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an Environmental Specialist for employment in Rocky Hill, CT.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Review and prepare documents, reports, presentations, technical memoranda, and other work products with a focus on regulatory compliance, technical adequacy, and impact assessment

  • Review design plans for potential environmental impacts

  • Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders

  • Perform site reviews for natural and water resource

  • Perform site inspections on active construction projects for environmental compliance with existing permits and regulatory programs

  • Reviewing and preparing planning/engineering studies/reports/permit applications with a focus on regulatory compliance and technical adequacy with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Connecticut Environmental Policy Act (CEPA), natural and water resource evaluations, and contaminated and hazardous materials management

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma plus four (4) years or more of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Prior experience with utility and transportation projects is highly desirable as is basic knowledge of environmental permit programs
