Operates the Univero line and consistently meets Hendrix's quality and productivity requirements in a safe manner with minimum scrap.

â?¢ Complies with company safety rules at all times during working hours and ensures the safety of himself/herself and others at his/her operating station.
â?¢ Responsible in keeping equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
â?¢ Works in a professional manner, punctual and highly dependable.
â?¢ Mechanically sets up Univero line including installation of appropriate tooling and all auxiliary line equipment needed to produce varying cable designs described in the process instructions.
â?¢ Consistently monitors the supply of raw material to ensure a continuous operation.
â?¢ Performs required measurements with company approved measuring devices to ensure final process meets the required specifications (reference SLP 016).
â?¢ Verifies the measuring devices are calibrated.
â?¢ Visually inspect neutral spools for damaged wires.
â?¢ Performs cold welds of bare neutral wires to maintain spool operation.
â?¢ Maintain accurate record keeping of all pertinent information required by Hendrix, including work center records.
â?¢ Takes corrective action to ensure quality product.
â?¢ Participates in scheduled team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement.
â?¢ Participates in maintaining ISO certification.
â?¢ Adheres to applicable System Level Procedures (SLPs).


â?¢ Understanding of the basic neutral line operation including the line components associated with the processes.
â?¢ Tools and measuring devices applicable to the industry.
â?¢ ISO requirements pertaining to the line.
â?¢ Power switches.
â?¢ Internal/industry codes and abbreviations used to identify compounds and conductors.
â?¢ Selection and installation of dies.
â?¢ Loading and unloading of neutral spools.
â?¢ Principles of cold welding.


Position requires individuals with proven mechanical aptitude. Must have the ability to:
â?¢ Read micrometers and other related precision tools.
â?¢ Perform shop arithmetic.
â?¢ Read and follow written instructions.
â?¢ Communicate effectively to receive and pass on information and instructions.
â?¢ Troubleshoot basic line problems.
â?¢ Continuously pay attention to detail.
â?¢ Fulfill simple computer tasks.
â?¢ Work within a Team structure.


Position required individuals to have the ability to:
â?¢ Lift up to seventy-five pounds from the floor to chest.
â?¢ Maneuver roll (exert up to one hundred (100) pounds of force), spin and align reels up to a 90" safely. (Johnson bar can be used to maneuver.)
â?¢ Exert thirty to fifty pounds of force with cable cutters.
â?¢ Visually inspect quality of product.
â?¢ Use hand held tools and measuring devices.
