Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Fallon, NV.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Function as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the Air Defense Strike Group Facility (ADSGF) at NAS Fallon, NV. Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Information System Security Manager in handling day-to-day operations of the ADSGF. Interface with the Security Control Assessors with requests and follow-up information as required. Provide required information and updates to the Program Manager on reoccurring and as-needed basis. Work with assorted contractors to support operations within ADSGF. Assist users on network, laptop, and guest systems as needed for Fleet operational and training needs

  • Promote Cybersecurity in all aspects

  • Must be well-versed in NIST 800-Series, JSIG, and be compliant with DoD Directive 8570.01 certification requirements. Must have minimum of current Security+ or equivalent, CISSP preferred

  • Maintain and update documentation for the ADSGF network as well as standalone laptops and guest systems in the facility. This includes

  • Initial and annual user training and documentation

  • Maintain system accreditation under RMF/JSIG accreditation process

  • Auditing and continuous monitoring of system status

  • Requesting and tracking of hardware and software upgrades

  • Maintain Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and Continuous Monitoring (CONMON) documents

  • Perform and track Assured File Transfers (AFT) onto and off of various systems/networks

  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures and other documents as needed

  • Monitor network and system status using various software tools:

  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

  • Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)

  • McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)

  • SPLUNK audit collection and analysis

  • Any other software and hardware tools as needed or mandated

  • Collaborate with the ISSM in performing system design, modification, and implementation to meet cybersecurity and functional requirements

  • Function as part of COMSEC team:

  • Track and maintain equipment on COMSEC account

  • Document use of, and update KEYMAT on end-use equipment

  • Return and receive equipment as needed for repairs and updates

  • Assist in maintaining COMSEC documentation

  • Perform hardware and software troubleshooting and maintenance on an as-needed basis based on specific Roles and Responsibilities. This includes antivirus/antimalware updates, data-at-rest encryption/decryption, patches and updates

  • Support reoccurring events at ADSGF, which includes augmenting Security, personnel control, escort duties, receiving hardware

Basic qualifications

  • HS Diploma with at least 5 years of experience or a BS degree with 3 years related experience.

Security Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder/stair.

  • Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate.

  • Assess Occasionally must be able to distinguish specific scents to assess and respond.

  • Frequently moves Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across and/or around a business campus or large facility.

  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions. May be exposed to chemicals associated with the work performed.
