Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Application Developer to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.  

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Designing, programming/developing, and modifying software systems, applications, and tools, both existing and potentially new in the future 

  • Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints 

  • Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. 

  • Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.  

  • Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements 

  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools. 

  • Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements  

  • Participates in development of software user manuals 

  • Conducting testing of program and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired results and that instructions are correct 

  • Organizing and maintaining documentation of application development and subsequent revisions, so others can understand the program 

  • Collaborating with teammates, other service providers, vendors, and users to develop new programming methods 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Management Information Systems  

  • A minimum of (3) three years of relevant experience 

  • Strong Java programming/development skills and experience (e.g., Java, C#/or C++, JavaScript/HTML5 Framework (EXT/JS, Angular, React) 

  • Experience with Web services (e.g., WDSLs, schemas, XSDs, XML, REST API, JSON) 

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern front-end framework 

  • Experience working and interacting with different types of data stores (e.g., Oracle, Elasticsearch) 

  • Understanding of SQL and Elasticsearch 

  • Knowledge, skills and abilities in SAFe Agile processes and methods 

  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities and communication to multiple stakeholders 

 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree Computer Science  

  • A minimum of (1) one year of related experience 

  • Cloud experience 

 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen 

  • Top Secret w/SCI 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
