Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Software Developer-Applications to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.  


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Resolve customer requirements and propose solutions for software modifications and enhancements 

  • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices (unit testing, source control, continuous integration, automation, design patterns, etc.) 

  • Program and debug both low-level and high-level code and troubleshoot problems 

  • Develop, create, and modify and/or test software applications as a part of a team 

  • Design software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency 

  • May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team 

  • Work from specifications drawn up by software developers or other individuals

  • Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks 

  • Design/Develop/Test new software solutions that meets and exceeds customer expectations 

  • Gathering requirements from customer and translating those requirements into technical implementations

  • Assisting with the continued operation and maintenance for existing applications 

  • Develop and execute unit and integrated test procedures 


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science  

  • A minimum of (5) years of relevant technical experience 

  • Experience with programming languages, e.g., (C#, .NET/.NET Core) 

  • Experience developing web applications  

  • Experience with relational database systems 

  • Knowledge, skills and abilities in SAFe Agile processes and methods 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree  

  • A minimum of (1) year of related experience 

  • Experience developing applications for the cloud 

  • Experience developing secure software systems based upon industry specifications

  • Experience writing software requirements, design, and test documentation 

  • CompTIA Security + certification 

  • An Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Foundation Certification 


Clearance Requirements: 

  • Top Secret w/SCI 


Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
