Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Draft, proofread, edit, and coordinate correspondence
Maintain a schedule of appointments for a manager or office?
Responsible for developing, drafting, writing, and editing reports, briefs, proposals, and other documents
Interfaces with staff to coordinate meetings, maintain logs, records, and files and performs general administrative duties
Assists in budgetary and financial management tasks
Responsible for preparing and/or maintaining systems, programming and operations documentation, service catalog, procedures, and methods, including user reference manuals
Answer routine telephone calls, direct calls, and take messages
Greet and escort visitors
Retrieve, sort, and distribute incoming mail, newspapers, faxes, and other publications/documents
Arrange for the delivery of outgoing mail/packages with the mailroom
Prepare travel/training arrangements and process travel/training accounting/vouchers for the program office
Perform research and retrieve information from databases and other resources
Maintain tracking records and filing systems, archive files
Assist in planning, scheduling, organizing, and execution of meetings, events, conferences, and off-sites
Participate in meetings and events: may serve as recorder and may present position related information
Prepare access rosters and request security clearance transfers
Assist in ordering supplies/equipment and arranging for office equipment repairs
Recommend innovative processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the office
Compose written communication in response to complex customer queries
Manage routine website content updates and coordinate more complex website changes with webmaster
Analyze metrics and provide summary to senior management
High School Diploma, or GED equivalent + 7 years of related work experience
Demonstrated experience with protocol and precedence, structure, regulations, directives, and policies
Demonstrated experience working independently, anticipating, adapting to changing mission requirements, priorities, and managing multiple tasks with minimal guidance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making
Associates Degree or equivalent certificate +7 years of related work experience
BS degree +4 years of related work experience
Top Secret w/SCI
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
