Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.  


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Draft, proofread, edit, and coordinate correspondence

  • Maintain a schedule of appointments for a manager or office? 

  • Responsible for developing, drafting, writing, and editing reports, briefs, proposals, and other documents  

  • Interfaces with staff to coordinate meetings, maintain logs, records, and files and performs general administrative duties

  • Assists in budgetary and financial management tasks

  • Responsible for preparing and/or maintaining systems, programming and operations documentation, service catalog, procedures, and methods, including user reference manuals

  • Answer routine telephone calls, direct calls, and take messages

  • Greet and escort visitors

  • Retrieve, sort, and distribute incoming mail, newspapers, faxes, and other publications/documents 

  • Arrange for the delivery of outgoing mail/packages with the mailroom 

  • Prepare travel/training arrangements and process travel/training accounting/vouchers for the program office

  • Perform research and retrieve information from databases and other resources

  • Maintain tracking records and filing systems, archive files

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, organizing, and execution of meetings, events, conferences, and off-sites

  • Participate in meetings and events: may serve as recorder and may present position related information

  • Prepare access rosters and request security clearance transfers

  • Assist in ordering supplies/equipment and arranging for office equipment repairs

  • Recommend innovative processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the office

  • Compose written communication in response to complex customer queries

  • Manage routine website content updates and coordinate more complex website changes with webmaster

  • Analyze metrics and provide summary to senior management 


Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma, or GED equivalent + 7 years of related work experience 

  • Demonstrated experience with protocol and precedence, structure, regulations, directives, and policies 

  • Demonstrated experience working independently, anticipating, adapting to changing mission requirements, priorities, and managing multiple tasks with minimal guidance 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making 


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Associates Degree or equivalent certificate +7 years of related work experience 

  • BS degree +4 years of related work experience 


Clearance Requirements: 

  • Top Secret w/SCI 


Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
