Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.  

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems 

  • Perform the activities of configuration and system operations (mainframe, mini, or client/server based, etc.)

  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning, optimizing, system operations, and resource utilization 

  • Aid users in accessing and using business systems; responsibilities include Windows Administrators, SharePoint Administrators, VM Ware Administrators, and other Tools Administrator positions 

  • Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems  

  • Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the client problems

  • Provides problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems 

  • Provides support for the deployed systems and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process 

  • Provides support for enterprise programs and applications, e.g., (VMWare, RedHat Linux, CentOS Linux, Windows Server, Citrix, LDAP, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and various scripting languages including Perl, Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell, VB Script) 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • One of the following certifications: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field  

  • A minimum of (7) seven years of relevant experience 

  • Experience with virtualized environments and knowledge of provisioning hardware, storage, resources, and configuration/administration, including high-availability and failover services for cloud infrastructures 

  • Experience with O&M of Windows applications such as WSUS, Exchange, SharePoint, SCCM, and Splunk 

  • Experience with RAIDs, SANs, High Availability, Backups and Disaster Recovery. 

  • Knowledge in configuring network switches, working with VLANs, and knowledge of routing protocols 

  • Knowledge in security hardening of operating systems in a standalone environment as well as through GPOs

  • Knowledge, skills and abilities in SAFe Agile processes and methods 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science 

  • A minimum of (3) years of related experience 

  • Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and vulnerability management processes 

  • Experience with maintaining LDAP and associated custom scripting for account validation and configuration management software (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) 

  • Cloud experience 

  • An Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Foundation Certification 

 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Top Secret w/SCI 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
