Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Test Engineer to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.  

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Serves as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications  

  • Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies 

  • Designs, implements, and conducts test and evaluation procedures, analyzes test cases and provides to ensure system requirements are met  

  • Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products, also writes, implements, and reports status for system test cases for testing 

  • Directs and/or participates in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection 

  • Work with Development Teams to better understand requirements, improve test effectiveness, and resolve defects 

  • Adapt to SAFe Agile Scrum Software Development methodologies with a cross-functional team approach 

  • Analyze specifications and design documentations, test strategies, test plans, and user acceptance criteria 

  • Create and run automated smoke testing, positive and negative tests, functional tests, front-end and back-end test scenarios 

  • Create, update, and maintain system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, API testing, and data-driven automated testing scenarios 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 

  • A minimum of (7) years of relevant experience 

  • Experience using languages e.g., (Webdriver IO, Selenium, Cucumber, and Postman to create automated tests) 

  • Knowledge and experience in Continuous Development / Continuous Integration 

  • Knowledge of test processes and test case development with a focus on application security 

  • Experience documenting test plans and tests scripts 

  • Knowledge, skills and abilities in SAFe Agile processes and methods 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering,  

  • A minimum of (3) three years of related experience 

  • Certifications and experience with the use of test software applications 

  • An Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Foundation Certification 

 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Top Secret w/SCI 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
