Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Configuration Management Engineer to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.  

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Analyzes engineering change proposals, design reviews, audits, scheduling, and budgeting. 

  • Assists in the development and implementation of computer-based configuration, data management systems and electronic data systems, and electronic data support. 

  • Develops and designs configuration/data management documentation. 

  • Monitors contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure standards and requirements are being met. 

  • Identifies requirements and the development and implementation of computer-based configuration, data management systems, and electronic data systems 

  • Develops and implements new processes. 

  • Leads tasks in preparing configuration management plans and procedures, performs configuration audits, monitors trouble reports and change requests, evaluates and selects tools to automate the change control process, and provides status accounting support. 

  • Assists in the evaluation, definition, standardization, and tracking of data elements and object names 

  • Responsible for configuration audits. Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met.  Supports the quality assurance process audits. 

  

Required Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of (5) five years of configuration management experience 

  • Possess solid understanding of configuration management practices and principles 

  • Must be able to effectively complete simultaneous tasks with independent deadlines and deliverables 

  • Possess excellent communication skills 

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills 

  • BS degree  

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • MS degree with 3-5 years of related experience 

  • CMPIC  Configuration Management Principles & Implementation Certification 

 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Top Secret w/SCI 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
