Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented DevOps Analyst to join our team in Frederick, Maryland.

Job Title: DevOps Analyst

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Analyze and develop computer software possessing a wide range of capabilities, including numerous engineering, business, and records management functions. Develop plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion. Analyze user interfaces, maintain hardware and software performance tuning, analyze workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, analyze downtimes, and analyze proposed system modifications, upgrades and new COTS. Analyze the problem and the information to be processed. Define the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests. Coordinate closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications. Develop, in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions. All work performed on site at Ft. Detrick, MD at the Joint Medical Logistics Functional Development Center (JMLFDC). Duties/responsibilities include:

  • Research and evaluate new technologies
  • Consult with clients
  • Identify the organizational needs of IT systems
  • Analyze costs and benefits
  • Add new functionality to systems
  • Oversee installations
  • Test systems
  • Train users

Develop new systems or work to update or improve current systems. This includes analyzing the costs and benefits of purchasing new hardware and software and the time necessary to train staff on how to use it.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completed or Initiated DoD Tier 3 Background Investigation. (ADP/IT II or Secret Clearance)
  • Possess an approved DoD 8570.01-M IA baseline certification required for the IAT I position category and level. (one of: A+, CCNA Security, Network+, SSCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD logistics experience (DMLSS, LogiCole) desired.
  • Bachelor’s Degree desired.
  • Experience in DevSecOps practices is desired.

Security Clearance Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust clearance
  • A current and active Public Trust clearance is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer.
  • Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.
  • Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.
  • Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; IT service requests; work orders; etc.
