Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer- RQ-21 Aircraft Airframe Collateral Duty Inspector to support the RQ-21 Blackjack at the VMU squadron in Cherry Point.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

CDIs inspect all work and comply with the required QA inspections during all maintenance actions performed by their production work center. CDIs are responsible to the QA Officer when performing QA functions.

RQ-21 Aircraft Mechanics (Airframes)inspect and maintain aircraft airframes and airframe components, inspect, service, maintain and repair power plant, secondary power systems and fuel systems and perform duties relating to flight line operations. They are required to understand the theory and operation of all aircraft systems in order to identify, diagnosis, execute emergency procedures, and repair aircraft and related systems malfunctions. They are responsible for properly documenting all aircraft inspections, discrepancies, and repairs. They are responsible for requisitioning all required parts/items needed for maintenance. They perform a multitude of ground handling duties in support of flight/maintenance operations e.g. taxi directing of aircraft, ground refueling, aircraft towing, securing/un-securing of aircraft for flight, pre-flight/post flight of aircraft, etc. They are required to utilize and instruct personnel in the usage of various management information systems in the performance of mechanical duties and training of personnel. Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed in the performance of their duties.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years aviation experience
Minimum of 1 year RQ-21 system experience
Qualified in the NAMP programs and processes applicable to their work centers.
Complete the CDI training syllabus applicable to their assignment, and pass the written examination administered by QA.
O-Level maintenance experience
Security Clearance Requirements:

Minimum of a DoD Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
