SAIC is seeking an Integration Engineer to provide launch management and integration support for Engineering Launch Support Systems (ELSS). Responsibilities include gathering mission unique requirements identification, monitoring and verification, ECP incorporation to include change definition, technical evaluation, and launch operations planning and execution in Cape Canaveral, FL.
Specifics of Primary Duties:
Serve as communications liaison between government agencies for ELSS.
Assist in the execution of Interagency Agreement between multiple government agencies for the ELSS for the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) and New Entrant launch services.
Coordinate with external agencies to ensure full capability and connectivity of the ELSS as NSSL New Entrants are identified. Integration activities include gathering requirements unique to the NSSL New Entrant, ensure proper verification and validation, obtain sponsorship of ELSS requirements, correctly directing specific requirements to the appropriate Program Manager for execution
Evaluate launch communication requirements to ensure current and future capabilities are in place to support.
Support Systems Engineering Process Updates, providing coordination and documentation. Assess and coordinate Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contractor Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
Coordinate with the Government to provide support for technical issue/anomalies involving infrastructure or equipment. Recommend and document the requirement verification effort for each mission and provide assessment to government on mission readiness milestones.
As integrator, provide on-site direct integration support to all ELSS activities at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and provide back up support to like ELSS activities at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Bachelor’s Degree in technical field, additional experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
10+ years launch and acquisition experience mandatory; 15+ years desired
TS/SCI with CI Poly Clearance
Working knowledge of launch policy and procedures
General understanding of launch vehicle production processes and practices, launch site preparations flow and day-of-launch procedures
Skilled at facilitating objective review of issues and leading team through issue resolution process
Ability to formulate defensible recommendations for customer on complex programmatic/technical issues in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Must communicate effectively with senior management as well as employees at all levels; strong writing skills required
