AECOM is seeking a Transportation / Transit Planner Intern for our Los Angeles, CA office.

Potential tasks include:
Supports planning studies and reports for new and updated plans and programs.
Collects a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, roadway network, crash records, and asset inventories.
Works with the planning team to conduct equitable public outreach, preparing materials and presentations
Analyzes data and prepares detailed maps for use on thematic maps and in reports.
Conducts concept-level evaluation of transit/transportation improvement options.
Documents and presents findings on transit/transportation planning projects.
Researches current transportation-related topics at local, State, and Federal levels.
Assists with other duties assigned by senior staff and/or Project Managers.
This position will involve planning and project development activities for transportation projects under the supervision of more senior staff.
Must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree accredited program in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Sciences, Geography, Economics, or related fields
Must have completed a minimum of three years of study
Strong technical writing skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems, including ArcMap and ArcGIS Online
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or SketchUp
Basic knowledge of transportation planning topics
Currently pursuing Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Sciences, Geography, Economics, or related fields.
The position requires to work in an office environment
Relocation is not available for this position.
