The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Collect soil, water, and vapor samples using approved sampling plans and industry accepted methods. Document work with detailed field notes

  • Remediation system operations

  • Healthy and safety management

  • Read, understand, and follow published test methods and standard operating procedures, including company and client specific programs

  • Produce accurate and complete documentation of operation, inspections and compliance

  • Show initiative in maintaining and repairing equipment, ordering and organizing supplies and maintaining work area

  • Effectively communicate with site representatives regarding schedules and task requirements

  • Coordination with and oversight from task and project managers, on-site subcontractors, and field staff

  • Office support including preparation of work plans, health and safety plans, and technical reports

  • Manage environmental data. Prepare tables and figures to present data

  • Perform other tasks assigned by project and task managers

  • Support assessment and remediation at other client facilities under direction of staff as necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework or experience providing knowledge relevant to waste management, environmental site assessments, environmental site investigation and characterization, and environmental remediation is preferred

  • STEM education background is preferred

  • Knowledge of environmental sampling practices

  • Energetic and detail-oriented, with collaborative style and innovative approach

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to record data neatly, accurately, and legibly

  • Excellent attention to Health and Safety

Additional Information:

  • Must possess a valid US Diver's License and this position may be subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
