Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager is responsible for diagnosis and repair of equipment in manufacturing/production departments.

Essential Job Functions:

· Installation and on-going maintenance of new machinery, equipment

· Direct and manage maintenance staff performance and scheduling

· Research spare parts for retrofit viability

· Maintain and process paperwork for accounts payable

· Daily communication with department managers and directors

· Maintain parts database

· Plan, design, and engineer new machines and systems as required

· Serve as manufacturing facilities sanitation coordinator to insure inside and outside of buildings are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness

· Develop, execute and mange manufacturing maintenance to meet all requirements and yield a greater than 90% first time right.

· Evaluate and execute continuous improvement programs leading to improvements in quality, efficiency, process control, cost reduction and achieving department production output goals.

· Keep current and implement technology and new equipment to enhance performance of manufacturing

· Help develop staff and create a robust succession plan

· Act as role model exemplifying superb ethical conduct and decision making, teamwork, integrity, agility, respect and accountability.

· Other responsibilities as assigned by management



· Associates Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or at least 10 years of industry related experience in lieu of degree

· Minimum of three years supervisory experience in manufacturing maintenance

Required Skills:

· Comprehensive understanding of electrical schematics

· Proficient with metering and test equipment to include ammeter, voltmeter

· Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers and Variable Frequency Drivers.

· Ability to follow company SOPs

· Ability to communicate and delegate priorities effectively

· Computer skills must include Microsoft Office, Word and Outlook

· Knowledge of cGMPs related to US FDA manufacturing environments

· Basic business writing skills

Physical Demands:

· Required to use hands to use computer controls, demonstrate equipment usage, etc.

· May be required to lift, stand, bend for short periods of time.

· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, ability to focus.

Work Environment:

· Required to be present in-house to provide daily support to management including VP, Directors and to collaborate / mentor direct reports and other personnel as required.

· Responsible for compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to safety policies and for leading by example with the proper attitude toward safety and health, helping to ensure that all department operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health for all personnel.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Responsible for managing nonunion and union employees
