UNIT PLANNER (AFSOC-21-1605-F):
Bowhead seeks Mission Plans qualified personnel to augment Air Force Special Operations Command’s (AFSOC) 1st Special Operations Wing squadron operations at Hurlburt Field, FL. The focus of this work is to support non-flying additional duty positions traditionally filled by rated aircrew members. Position will work as part of an integrated contractor/government workforce providing specialized knowledge, skills and abilities in the responsibilities described below.
Essential functions will include:
• Provide continuity and assist with the planning, scheduling, flying mission tracking, and related mission support as designated by the squadron
• Liaise with joint and civilian personnel and work in close concert with operations personnel to determine training and support requirements to ensure aircrew and aircraft can operate off-station from their assigned base of operations
• Assist squadron leadership to plan future operations, to include flying schedules and de-confliction of aircrew currencies, qualifications, upgrades and training priorities
• Coordinate airdrop operations and any airspace required for the execution of the scheduled flying line, as well as coordination to ensure aircraft support at CONUS and OCONUS airfields, arrangement of lodging, and other logistical requirements
• Produce documents to ensure trip details are complete; to include Form 111's and DTS orders
• Coordinate with the Aircraft Commander/Mission Commander post mission, to ensure that an After Action Report is accomplished and submitted
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum two years’ experience working in an AFSOC Squadron/Group/Wing Plans Office
Minimum four years’ experience as aircrew on AFSOC aircraft
Minimum two years’ experience working with Microsoft Access, Excel, and SharePoint
Demonstrated high degree of understanding and knowledge of SOF aircrew procedures to include tactics, techniques and procedures, aircrew training, standardization and evaluation, publications management, exercise management, and mobility requirements
Knowledge of Air Force (AF) and Special Ops Forces (SOF) organizational structures, functions and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
