ManTech's Health Group is seeking a fulltime JAVA Application Developer to join our team 100% remotely. The JAVA Developer will be supporting a program within the Veterans Administration and will be expected to develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software. They will work with technical staff to resolve software problems, resolve customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements and may be involved in the development of software user manuals and demonstrate software.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project

  • Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications

  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements, and maintains software applications

  • Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests, and integrates application components

  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.  Requires expanded knowledge and experience in own area; incumbents are still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills

  • Builds knowledge of the company, processes, and customers

  • Solves a range of straightforward problems

  • Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures

  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction

  • Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own area of expertise while developing additional skill sets

  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work

  • No supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance to new associates

  • Solves standard problems by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment, and precedents

  • Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies

  • Explains information to others in straightforward situations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and 4 or more years of relevant JAVA application development experience. A minimum of Eight (8) years of relevant JAVA application development experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree with.

  • Full Stack developer experience with front end frameworks

  • Experience with Backend RESTful API’s

  • Experience with AngularJS w/bootstrap

  • Experience with Java Hibernate, Spring, and Junit

  • SQL experience

  • Linux terminal experience

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this opportunity

Additional Information:

  • Location: 100% remote opportunity

  • Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 80% of the time.

  • Must be able to clearly communicate with co-workers and customers on a daily basis

  • Must be able to write, read and interpret technical data to complete work functions

  • Must be able to provide presentations to customers to show progress of work

The projected compensation range for this position is $74,800-$125,400. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
