Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an entry level Environmental Scientist to be based in Chelmsford, MA. This position will be part of our asbestos/lead/mold program which includes inspection, design/plan, and abatement oversight.

The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM Remediation Specialists across the US and will have the resources of more than 3,500 regional staff available to assist in project delivery. This position is expected to begin in December 2021.

Job Overview

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following which will be performed within a geographic territory:

  • Preparing reports and other technical documents.

  • Compiling, evaluating, and analyzing environmental data

  • Conducting asbestos surveys

  • Conducting lead paint inspections

  • Conducting mold / indoor air quality surveys

  • Conducting universal and general hazard inventories surveys

  • Candidate will travel within a geographic territory conducting inspections (IN, IL, OH, PA and KY)

  • Relocation assistance and/or per diem is not offer for this position.

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

  • Travel may be required (up to a week or more at a time).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of environmental sampling practices

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to record data neatly, accurately, and legibly

  • Excellent attention to Health and Safety
