Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to be based in Houston, TX.

This position is expected to begin in January 2022.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to;

  • Performs a variety of water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure-related assignments that require the application of standard engineering practices and techniques.

  • Prepares plans, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and calculations related to the design and construction of projects under the supervision of mid and senior-level engineers.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.

  • Assists in coordinating and/or directing the work of design staff.

  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Performs fieldwork activities such as site visits and pilot testing.

  • Coordinates with regulatory agencies.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

  • Engineer-in-Training Certification.

  • Course work or Internship and/or Co-op experience with a focus on water and wastewater engineering.

  • Familiarity/experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, or Revit.

  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams.

  • Flexible – can adapt to shifting priorities/work schedules.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

  • Participate as a member of professional and technical societies.
