SAIC is seeking a 5G Software Engineer for Modeling and Simulation and engineering design. Our team is driving innovation as we develop solutions for the Department of Defense Joint All Domain Command and Control and other Edge and Enterprise capabilities. The candidate will further develop next generation models to better characterize the performance of networks using state-of-the-art communication channels used by Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) such as Link 16, WinNT, MUOS and 5G.



Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience

  • Fundamental understanding of the OSI model (particularly layers 1 thru 3)

  • Fundamental understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) modulation schemes

  • Understanding of communication access technologies such as FDD and TDD

  • Experience in development of filters, modulation, SC-FDMA, OFDMA

  • Experience with signal detection methodologies and algorithms

  • Experience with wireless MAC layer protocol mechanisms and OSI layers 1 and 2

  • Experience with HW/SW integration in lab environment to include spectrum analyzers and network analyzers

  • Experience with RF and antenna measurement technologies

  • Parallelism of algorithms in processor arrays such as used by Vector and/or GPU processor architectures 


  • Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance
