Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Purchase equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services required
Maintain and update documents and reports
Analyze past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield
Select, order, and authorize payment for merchandise according to contractual agreements
Develops relationships with buyer community to project buying needs of the department
Manages all procurement requisition activity through use of Vendor Management System (VMS) technology
Evaluates SOW agreement terms for conformity and compliance; escalates deviations for client approvals/decision making
Provides program Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), training and updates and reports metrics as required
Communicates program procedural changes and updates to program suppliers and client-users in a timely manner
Provides and analyzes standard program reporting to client buyers and stakeholders, to include the support of ad hoc report requests as required
Supports management in ensuring financial goals and objectives are met and/or exceeded
Establishes and maintains a proactive, positive working relationship with client end-users through regular communications
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree with 7 or more years of related work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making
Preferred Qualifications:
MS degree in Management, Business or Finance with 3 or more years of related work experience
Experience with Supply Chain Risk Management a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills
Clearance Requirements:
Top Secret w/SCI
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
