Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented Web Designer to join our team in the Washington D.C. area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and develop integration of text, graphics, sound and/or video
Own the overall quality of code including unit testing, functional testing, and performance
Writes and tests application source code that realizes the specifications outlined in the functional specification documentation
Designs and builds web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools
Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements. Contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization's online offerings
Participate in end-to-end software development lifecycle, e.g., design, code review, etc.
Produce prototypes and effectively articulate design decisions
Write clean code that is maintainable, scalable, and extensible. Improve usability, reliability, security, and performance
Designs the website to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to external communications
Lead moderate to complex lifecycle development tasks
BS degree in Information Systems with 7 or more years of related work experience
Knowledge of graphic resolution for insertion into documentation
Must be able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to multitask, prioritize and manage deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making
MS degree in Information Systems with 3 or more years of related work experience
Experience with backend focused web development using tools like React, PHP, GIT
Excellent problem-solving skills
Top Secret w/SCI
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
