Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Solutions Architect to join our team in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach VA area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze current technologies used within the customers environments and provide innovative recommendations.
  • Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed changes
  • Work closely with Information Technology professionals to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly
  • Propose and establish framework for necessary contributions from various departments
  • Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope
  • Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
  • Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution
  • Solutions may be related to Data Management, Cloud migrations, DevOps, Storage, Disaster Recovery, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have minimum 12 years of experience in a Systems Administrator/Engineer role and able to provide engineering and operational support for the following:
  • Experience designing, deploying and managing Windows 2016 and 2019 server technologies, in Cloud (Azure/AWS), VMWare and physical hardware.
  • Implement and manage high performance, highly available, secure and scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Manage and monitor infrastructure ensuring that the enterprise environment is compliant with government standards and optimize enterprise-wide platforms to ensure availability and capacity to meet mission needs.
  • Design and manage systems in multi-datacenter environments, including HA/DR design.
  • Proficient with AWS Console, Terraform,  .
  • Experience with identity management including but not limited to Group Policies, ADFS and Certificate Authority.
  • Cloud System Architecture/Design, including Network Security Group Management and JSON template deployment for an environment in AWS (other cloud platforms a plus).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and significant experience providing in-person technical briefings for executive audiences.
  • Experience creating and updating SOPs and comprehensive technical documentation for all systems listed above.
  • Excellent time management and task management abilities, must be able to plan and execute complex interdependent activities across both IT systems and people-based processes.
  • System architecture, design, migration, and maintenance projects.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Ability to multi-task on operational issues in a group environment
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT III qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Solutions Architect
  • IAC/ Terraform CloudFormation / Ansible
  • Python, Linux , PowerShell scripting languages
