Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) Project Leader

Serving as CLDJ CDDAR liaison between KBR Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) team, environmental management team, the Military, and Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport personnel
Developing and implementing operating procedures and protocols that will muster the appropriate personnel within 30 minutes of an event.
Developing and conducting periodic joint exercises / drills to ensure the adequacy, preparedness, and effectiveness of the CDDAR team and procedures
Manage any overall salvage and recovery efforts in close coordination with military officials and personnel
Supporting the military accident investigation/forensic team
Ensuring salvage and recovery equipment is properly stored, calibrated, inventoried, and tested as appropriate
Developing a shelf life replacement program for parts and equipment which may degrade due to time and/or storage environmental conditions
Maintaining a current knowledge of industry best practices and equipment and recommending program enhancements to the US military in a timely manner
Ensuring CDDAR KBR staff augmentation personnel (such as transient alert, environmental technicians, heavy equipment operators) are properly trained and certified and certifications are current at all times
Supervise team of multi-national personnel within the Transient Alert Office.
Transient Alert Duties as appropriate
Use international hand signals or hand signals from OPNAVINST 00-80T-13 marshal aircraft into assigned parking, account for obstacle obstruction and minimum wingtip clearances.
Supervise Prior Permission Required (PPR) program, coordinate with Air Operations Military staff and provide daily "Parking Plan" snapshot briefing.
Enter PPR information into PPR management system and update parking plan as appropriate to mission change.
Coordinate transient aircraft parking spots with civil airport authorities or with local assigned flying units as per the PPR log
Assist flight crews with flight plan submission
Obtain and maintain Flight Information Publications (FLIP) account
Keep FLIP publications up to date.
Other duties as appropriate

(Preferred) 4- 6 years' experience performing military Crash Damaged and Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) duties
Possess a level of experience, training and proficiency which allows proper control for a successful aircraft removal or recovery/salvage operation.
Must hold (or be eligible to hold) a Secret Clearance
One year technical course in aircraft maintenance or two years relevant experience with Transient Alert activities
One year experience operating ground support equipment (GSE).
Computer literate, good command of the Microsoft Office Suites.
Two years' experience with international or military marshaling hand signals.
Additional requirements:

Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
