Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Physical Security Specialist to join our team in Herndon, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide expertise on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 Technical Specifications and work closely with ManTech’s facilities staff to explain requirements to ensure facilities are build to the standards expected by our Government customer(s)
  • Ability to work with and maintain positive relationship with ManTech’s Government customer(s) who provide accreditation for our secure facilities, and to understanding unique and changing requirements with different customer sets
  • Physically constructs and accredits Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) areas as well as Secure Work Areas (SWAs), DCSA Controlled or Restricted Areas, and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs).
  • Uses security expertise in Physical Security when constructing secure facilities which include:
    • Completing Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) and TEMPEST Checklists
    • Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)
    • Generating Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)
    • Producing Construction Security Plans (CSP’s)
    • Providing day to day oversight of active secure builds
  • Designing Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS’s), Access Control Systems (ACS’s), and CCTV systems and providing oversight of their installation (CCURE experience a plus)
  • Has knowledge of secure locks and related systems to include changing combinations of GSA approved high security locks and troubleshooting other elements of ACS’s
  • Creates and updates Secure Guard post orders for various facilities as needed

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience
  • Expertise in ICD 705 Technical Specifications and Construction Oversight

Security Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years. Must be willing to submit to an initial and random polygraph.
