US AECOM Industrial Maintenance, Inc. is looking for a Project Accountant for our Maintenance division on the Shell Cracker Plant Facility. We have 2 potential locations for this position, Monaca, PA, USA or Calgary, AB, Canada.

Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for accounting activities for the designated project including understanding of the job cost data capture, billings and sales agreements/contracts

  • Prepare accounting period-end entries and maintain the accounting records in accordance with policies and controls including preparation of relevant reconciliations

  • Preparation of the monthly financial performance report including management discussion comments, Variance analysis

  • Prepare 12-month rolling forecast

  • Administration of project set-up and closures in ERP system

  • Focal point of contact for the Operations Project / Site Manager related to any Finance & Accounting issue within specified scope.

  • Comply with US GAAP, SOX and AECOM standards, policies, processes and controls for all accounting activities.

  • Provide support and justification for audit requests

  • Provide training and mentorship to other finance team members

  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups when required

  • Other ad hoc inquiries as they arise

In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience

  • CPA Designation with experience in Project Accounting or large firms

  • Experience with Financial ERP system (i.e. CostPoint, JDE, Oracle)

  • Strong communication skills - Verbal and Written

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Detail and results oriented individual with the ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Intermediate computer skills : MS office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Able to travel, when required

  • Must be willing to be onsite at Client location, when required.

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Valid Work Visa is required.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain. Variable environmental conditions include heat, dusts, noise, and chemicals.

  • Position will include conducting field work and wearing associated personal protective equipment, including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, and hearing protection.

  • No Relocation assistance and/or Per Diem.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or Equivalent (Candidates pursuing designation or Foreign designation may be considered)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience both in Canada and USA.
