Job Summary

Serves as a developing professional in an architectural design team, creating, developing and finalizing production work on projects under the direction and supervision of a Senior Architect or designated senior team member.

Core Accountabilities

  • BIM Model and Drawing production (in accordance with BIM Execution Plan & BIM standards compliance, completeness & accuracy)

  • BIM Model and Drawing co-ordination (within Architecture & Cross Discipline).

Project /Design Responsibilities

  • Organizes own work to achieve set deadlines.

  • Independently checks the completeness & accuracy of own work prior to review by the Senior Architect or designated senior team member

  • Supports development of BIM models and drawings and co-ordinates using Navisworks and other coordination software

  • Adopts creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and, undertakes appropriate research and develops documentation to support these solutions

  • Follows specific, standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines (as set out by Senior Architect or Senior Team member)

  • Proactively checks and coordinates project BIM models and drawings and ensure they meet Client requirements and Industry Standards and project BIM Execution Plans

  • Ensures accuracy and quality of discipline BIM model information, presentation, and coordination

  • Takes accountability for own work

  • Prepares various schedules such as walls, partitions, doors, louvres & finishes

  • Collaborates/communicates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and common BIM model development tasks

  • Regularly reviews and checks their own deliverables for completeness, accuracy, efficiency and thoroughness ensuring delivery is as per Client requirements and Industry standards

  • Works with the team to communicate, solve, and update BIM models for coordination and design issues.

  • Communicates with clarity, purpose and accuracy


  • Keeps abreast of the latest software / techniques to increase productivity

Minimum Requirements

Specific Skills Required:

Project /Design Responsibilities

  • Ability to fulfil all the above duties and responsibilities

  • Good technical knowledge of architectural detailing

  • Developed understanding of the design process and interfaces between design disciplines.

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk BIM 360, Navisworks, presentation software and working on projects in a BIM environment

  • Develops BIM content based on BIM modelling standards and as outlined in BEP

  • Knowledgeable of Industry BIM standards, processes and general approaches

  • Ability to support the development of projects in Revit and AutoCAD

  • Performs BIM model QA/QC checks on projects according to established and company standards to ensure accuracy and quality of discipline models.

  • Ability to extract, manipulate, validate and present BIM model information as required


  • Flexibility of attitude towards company objectives

  • Must be detail-oriented, consistent and highly accurate in the work

  • Must be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be a self-starter

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability and motivated to update skills and expertise through continuing professional development (CPD) initiatives.

  • Knowledge of AECOM’s standards, policies, codes and procedures.

  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken). Knowledge of other languages is an added value.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years post undergraduate experience

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Diploma in Architectural Technology
