Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Design Strategist for our growing Strategy+ practice in Atlanta, Georgia. Strategy+, AECOM’s management consulting studio, operates at the intersection of Business Transformation, Communications Dynamics, and Place Strategies is looking for highly motivated applicants who possess outstanding analytical, communication and design skills. The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary team of talented designers and be responsible for supporting our state-of-the-art consulting projects which encompass world class corporations, healthcare and cultural institutions, universities, and local and federal government.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

Working as a collaborative team leader, this individual will be responsible for excellence in leading, managing and delivering projects, including client interaction, stakeholder engagement, communication, planning, user research, data analytics, synthesizing and making sense of qualitative and quantitative data, data visualization, workshop facilitation, presentation preparation, report writing, coordinating one or more project teams and undertaking business development with oversight from a Project Manager, Senior Team member and Principal in Charge.

As a Design Strategists you may have worked in innovation strategy, corporate strategy, growth strategy, business insights, business analytics, business planning, organizational design, change management, workplace strategy, behavioral economics, economic analysis, graphic design, project management or infrastructure design and build.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, planning, design, social science, or another relevant field

  • Four (4+) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in Higher Education

  • Management consulting and/or corporate strategy

  • Data analytics & modeling

  • Communications strategy, branding and marketing

  • Workplace strategy, planning & design, and space programming

  • Change management, people operations & planning, organizational design & development

  • User research, synthesis of qualitative data and generating insights

  • Design background in architecture, planning, interiors, product, or web design

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign)

  • Revit or other space planning/design CAD systems

  • Web based data analytics, visualization, and GIS

  • Project management, project work planning, scheduling, and resource deployment

  • Design-thinking, Lean Startup, and design-led strategy

  • Business model generation and business case development
