Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to be based in Atlanta, GA.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Having complete knowledge of FEMA Guidelines and Standards for Flood Risk Analysis and Mapping

  • Performing Hydrology and Hydraulics Analysis for various sizes of the watersheds

  • Completing supporting calculations and analyses

  • Preparing RiskMAP submittal packages for FEMA

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or another related field.

  • Must have completed one year of Schooling.

  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering

  • Strong Technical Writing and communication skills

  • Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software

  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS), Civil3D and stormwater management design software such as HydroCAD).
