As a member of the software development team assist in the creation, modification, and maintenance of various models, simulations, and tools at the discretion of the Team Lead. 

Job Description:

Participate in various aspects of computer model, simulation and tool development and modification. Specific duties might include:

  • Follow established modeling standards and configuration management procedures
  • Must be able to work on a team and show initiative
  • Must be able to communicate status and problems to other team members and supervisors
  • Assist, as required, with preparation of documentation of modeled systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The following are required to be considered for this position:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products

Demonstrated capability in one or more of the Information Technology core areas;

  • Computer System Engineering
  • Computer System Services
  • Data Management Services
  • Modeling, Simulation and Analysis
  • Professional Support Services
  • Test, Analysis and Evaluation
  • Systems Integration
  • Experience in programming in C, C#, C++, Fortran, R, Python, MATLAB, and SQL

Able to obtain a SECRET (and ultimately a TOP SECRET) Clearance

Education and Experience:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 6 months of experience; or an Associate’s degree and 3 years of experience in either Engineering or M&S.  Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.  Experience in systems development, analysis, or design.
