Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Hybrid Cloud Technical Writer to join our team remotely.

 

The hybrid cloud services team is building a new offering for the U.S. Intelligence Community. We assist with the entire hardware/software lifecycle, including planning, deployment, maintenance, upgrading, monitoring, and capacity planning. Our services are especially crucial for hybrid customer engagements where Google Cloud is delivering and maintaining infrastructure inside the customer’s on-premises environment. 

As a hybrid cloud Technical Writer, you will plan, create, manage, and deliver educational content as an integral part of the Customer experience or user experience. By educational content, we mean any content that helps users install and maintain new systems. This content is not limited to documentation. It can include, but is not limited to, UI text, sample code and videos. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Understand the user experience and create appropriate content to address user needs. 
  • Acquire sufficient domain knowledge of their subject matter to lead, work independently, and produce content that addresses users' needs. 
  • Write technical documentation for data center deployments, troubleshooting and maintenance 
  • Manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. 
  • Write, publish, and maintain high-quality documentation. 
  • Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Experience in technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing. 
  • Experience working in collaboration with Customer Support engineers and Development Engineers daily. 
  • Ability to understand high level technical details 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Track record of researching and writing effective documentation for technical support, Developers or DevOps teams 
  • Experience writing for the web and familiarity with g3doc / Google docs. 
  • Ability to understand Google Cloud services and technologies at a high level 
  • Passion for learning and documenting new technologies. 
  • Knowledge of computer networking in general would be helpful. Even better would be understanding cloud technologies. 

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
