Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Assurance Evaluation Engineer to join our team at 7250 Parkway Dr Hanover, MD, Maryland. The position is part of a team that provides software development support for an organization that is tasked with dissemination of data to various customers within the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for working with a team to analyze source code using automated Software Assurance (SwA) tools.
  • Contributes to developing testing methodologies, formulates testing scores and creates test cases that support SwA tool analysis.
  • Supports testing of DoD client software and interfaces with clients to define recommended remediation.
  • Creates reports and documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering, computer science or electrical engineering.
  • Three (3) years of experience in systems security engineering or software vulnerability assessment. In lieu of a degree, an additional two (2) years of experience may be substituted for a total of five (5) years of experience.
  • Experience with programming in Java, C/C++, or C#.
  • Experience in programming in Python or some other scripting language.
  • Experience with MS Excel.
  • Using and customizing source code analysis tools, evaluating the strengths and weaknesses, and determining the suitability for a given software/customer environment.
  • Evaluating source code SwA analysis processes.
  • Interpreting, prioritizing, and using source code SwA tools results to remediate potential vulnerabilities in software.
  • Surveying industry to identify new source code SwA tools and methodologies.
  • Creating and presenting technical briefings.

    • Security Fortify
    • IDA Pro
    • MATLAB

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI with FSP

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
