Fired Equipment Specialist

Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

Responsible for the design, specification, selection, vendor drawing reviews, and testing services relating to onshore and offshore oil and gas fired equipment.

The position is based in KBR’s Leatherhead Campus.

The required competency and skills would typically have been built up working for a consultant engineering company, equipment fabricator, machinery manufacturer, or end user company. Personnel would be expected to have a varied and extensive experience of fired mechanical equipment applications in refinery, ammonia, onshore and offshore oil and gas project environment to include concept, front end engineering design, detailed design, commissioning, and operations.

A specialist and detailed knowledge of fired equipment types. Field experience in the manufacturing, performance testing, commissioning, and trouble shooting of oil and gas equipment is beneficial. Also required is a working knowledge of industry standards for mechanical equipment.

Job success will depend on interpersonal skills and the effective interaction with others. Selected personnel will be highly competent in written and spoken communication and therefore be able to make effective presentations, and write technical reports.
