The Opportunity

KBR is involved in a range of exciting projects across the market sectors including rail, road and water infrastructure. Our team continues to grow based on some major project wins and we have an exciting opportunity for a talented and dedicated Project Controls Specialist to join our team in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support recording of costs and commitments in accordance with the project WBS
  • Identify and report potential cost trends and scope changes, and recommend alternative courses of action
  • Review and maintain schedules and progress data for bids and projects
  • Prepare monitoring curves
  • Maintain forecast at completion estimates
  • Process contractor progress payment certificates
  • Provide input to project Monthly Reports
  • Prepare estimates as required
  • Produce accurate financial data for Project Status Review Meetings

Who are you?

You are a skilled and passionate professional wanting to progress your career with a growing global consulting business.

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering, Project Management, Data Analysis, Finance, Economics or Construction related discipline
  • Experience in project controls on infrastructure projects with proficiency in Cost control concepts and tools
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, MS Excel etc.) will be highly advantageous
  • Exposure to industry standard scheduling tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Fraud Alert

Fraud has infiltrated the job placement market via the internet, email and direct phone contact. Attempts have included unauthorized use of KBR’s name and logo to solicit potential job seekers or to extend false job offers. Bad actors may mix in fake job advertisements with legitimate postings. These ads can include contact instructions and require job seekers to send sensitive personal information or money to pay for visa applications, processing fees, etc., in exchange for consideration for a high-paying position.
