The unique structure of the EMEA communications team means it supports all KBR businesses within the region. This includes Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS), which provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle, and Government Solutions EMEA, which provides technology-enabled solutions in the defence, nuclear, space and critical national infrastructure sectors.

This role aligns with our STS business in the Integrated Solutions International (ISI) business unit. ISI is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

The ISI Communications Lead will be part of a fast-paced, fun team, that supports delivery of all communications and marketing activity within the EMEA region.

The candidate will be dedicated to identifying and leading all communications and marketing requirements for the ISI business, setting strategic communications direction for the business group and linking in with the wider EMEA communications team to support delivery.

They will be highly motivated, have a flair for creativity and originality and be willing to push the boundaries to introduce forward thinking ideas to a corporate setting.

A ‘can do’, high energy approach is key to support the delivery of work both internally and external. This role will allow the individual to drive new ideas, and with the support of a hard-working, enthusiastic communications team, see them through from concept to delivery.

They will have strong experience of working with senior leaders and a willingness to support colleagues in respect of wider communications activity, including global communications initiatives.

The individual will become a brand ambassador for KBR, helping encompass a true One KBR (one team) approach to communications and marketing delivery.

The ISI Communications Lead will :

  • Establish and lead the implementation of the Internal Communications Strategy for Integrated Solutions International (ISI), in line with the EMEA Communications Strategy – helping to engage employees with the business and its leaders
  • Own and manage all corporate communications; new contract wins, strategic business updates, change programmes; policy updates etc.
  • Support the production of marketing material including brochures (traditional/online), videos, animations and more, and maintain inventory/library of materials
  • Find opportunities to develop content for internal and external audiences that align with the business strategy such as internal stories, press releases, thought leadership, white papers, interviews and videos
  • Identify appropriate external events for business group participation (trade shows, virtual / in-person conferences, exhibitions etc), acting as the point of contact into the events coordination team within the wider EMEA communications structure. This will include aspects of event prep, logistics and on-site support if necessary.
  • Support the delivery of employee events
  • Support delivery of corporate initiatives, including the annual employee engagement survey, bespoke global engagement events and more
  • Manage and develop the business unit intranet
  • Support post event evaluation and metrics
  • Act as a brand guardian

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Creative thinker
  • Outgoing and engaging
  • Demonstratable experience in a communications role
  • Content creation, script writing, copywriting, direction and editing
  • Great attention to detail
  • Enjoys working in a small team, but is independent enough to manage projects on their own
  • Strong organisational skills and meets deadlines
  • Ability to deal with multiple deadlines / organised multitasker
  • Experience in delivering content across platforms, including new and emerging digital platforms
  • Ability to work with people at all levels
  • Event support experience
